Central Okanagan Public Schools does not insure expenses for student injuries that occur on school grounds or during school activities.  Parents and guardians can voluntarily purchase private accident insurance at a reasonable cost. Application forms for a program underwritten by Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. (KIDS PLUS TM ) can be downloaded below (Kids Plus Website copy). ​

First Day of School - Tuesday, September 5, 8:30-11:00 am.
​Class lists will be posted by 8:00 am on the library windows. Students can proceed to their new classrooms at 8:25.  We are excited to greet you and begin a new year!

     The Chinese dragon is a symbol of power, strength, and good luck.  Our mascot at Mar Jok is a Chinese dragon and is named EPIC!

    ​ Our school is named after Mar Jok, who lived with his family in Kelowna from 1927 till 1983. He was extremely community minded, even running a soup kitchen for the poor out the back door of his first class restaurant, the Golden Pheasant Cafe,  d uring the Depression   ​. ​

    Pack It In, Pack It Out Lunches

    Litter free lunches at Mar Jok are the best form of recycling. 

    We ask that whatever comes in your child's lunch bag goes home in their lunch bag, including empty juice boxes and food wrappers.
